In Design and Technology, our pupils learn to become creative problem-solvers who can turn their ideas into real, useful products. Through hands-on projects, children design, make, and evaluate their own creations using a range of materials, tools, and techniques. They learn how things work, how to plan carefully, and how to improve their designs based on feedback. From building models and sewing fabric to exploring simple mechanisms and food preparation, pupils develop practical skills and confidence. Our curriculum encourages imagination, teamwork, and resilience, helping children understand the importance of design in everyday life.
